معادن سنگ تراورتن و مرمر موجود در اطراف شهر نيم ور يكي 
از منابع مهم كسب در آمد اهالي نيم ور ازحدود نيم قرن پيش مي باشد. در اوائل كار معدن، استاد كار زنجاني روش كار را به محليان آموزش داده اند. تمام معادن نيم ور و باز مي باشند. وجود تعدادي سنگ قبر كتيبه تاريخي به تاريخ 1000 ه.ق. احتمالا" نشانگر استفاده از سنگ از حدود 400 سال پيش در منطقه مي باشد.
